Our summer reading programs are designed to reduce summer learning loss and increase students’ foundational reading skills.

Private Lessons -
Kinder-8th

One-on-one summer literacy tutoring/reading intervention.

3 month minimum; No class July 3-4.

With our specialized tutoring, your child will:

Three-week Orton-Gillingham Structured Literacy class - Grades 1st-5th

Three 3-week sessions available. Enroll in one, two, or all three sessions.

Science-of-Reading-aligned instruction. Ten students maximum per session with two officially trained Orton-Gillingham instructors.

Price per three-week session: $470 class fee + $29 material fee

This class session is located in our home classroom in the Jeffries Ranch area of Oceanside, 92057.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
In each three-week session (M-Th for 3 weeks), students will participate in intensive Orton-Gillingham Structured Literacy instruction, focusing on reading (decoding) and spelling (encoding). Structured Literacy is the most effective approach for students experiencing difficulties with reading and spelling, including students with dyslexia.

Priority for enrollment in this summer program is given to students with Dyslexia/SLD indicators, but anyone may apply. We will be both indoors and outdoors during this summer program. Maximum of 10 students per session, so reserve your child's space now!

Bring a small snack and water bottle labeled with your child's name daily.

Sample Schedule:
8:30am-Drop-off
8:35-10:00am- Orton-Gillingham reading instruction and phonological/phonemic awareness activities
10:00-10:20 - break for snack/recess
10:20-11:20 - Orton-Gillingham reading and spelling instruction, fluency practice, and decodable texts
11:20-11:30 Daily Review and Pick-up
