Our approach is grounded in the science of reading and aligned with the International Dyslexia Association's standards for effective reading instruction. Our intervention program consists of research-based strategies, which makes our program more than tutoring. Assessments inform our instruction and drive progress for striving readers. We help students with dyslexia and those who appear to be behind in reading, and need a more effective instructional approach to reach their literacy goals.

We use the Orton-Gillingham structured literacy approach to teach students to become accurate and confident readers.  Our approach is prescriptive, diagnostic, systematic, multimodal, explicit, and sequential. This approach is the gold standard in teaching reading and spelling.

What makes our approach effective for ALL students include: individualization, multisensory and linguistic components, direct & systematic instruction, and the inclusion of continuous feedback and positive reinforcement. These evidence-based strategies are helpful for all students but essential for individuals with reading/spelling difficulties, including those with dyslexia.

In addition to one-on-one and small-group tutoring services, we offer dyslexia screening and intervention, Educational Therapy Program for dyslexia, and literacy assessments at our Literacy & Dyslexia Center, in Oceanside.
